News: A happy tale about Shadow
Posted on 05 June 2019
We're really pleased to share this update on shadow from her lovely owner Pat.
“14 months after saying goodbye to my previous collie, I adopted Shadow from Teckels. Shadow was a very nervous little girl and dependant on her sister Summer; however, I was only working a few hours a week and on the verge of retirement so decided if all went well with me and my Border Terrier cross, the adoption would go ahead. I knew nothing of her background, but this would be my 3rd Collie and knew that this breed needs to use their brains.
We had a few problems to start with – Shadow was terrified of people and traffic, but instantly attached herself to me and together she slowly overcame her fears. 16 months ago, we joined an obedience class and has proved a clever girl, and this year she is able to go into town with confidence finishing with a treat from our local Pet Shop.
I am now fully retired, and we love our long walks, obedience and fun games. Both of us have made a wide range of friends.
I have now located her sister and we are hoping to meet up sometime.
Thank you Teckels, adopting is so rewarding”.
And thank you Pat from all at Teckels for sharing this with us x
