Little Piglet urgently needs our help!

Teckels is asking for help with funding a lifesaving operation for Piglet the French bulldog.

Piglet arrived at Teckels two weeks ago with a breathing problem, and it quickly became apparent she needed veterinary help. She has just had an operation to widen her nostrils and some minor surgery to her throat, but she sadly has stage 2 Laryngeal collapse. This will require her to be referred to a specialist centre and could cost up to £3000.

29 March 2018 Foster homes urgently required!

We currently have a number of dogs in our care who are not coping very well with kennel life and would benefit massively from some extra company and attention. We are looking for foster homes for these dogs with people who currently don’t have any pets or children but would enjoy having a canine companion.

Ideally we would like to hear from people who are around for the majority of the day and have time to spend with a dog. Previous experience with dogs would be helpful but not essential as we will be on hand to give advice. We will provide everything you need to care for the dog and the length of stay will depend entirely on your availability. Some of the dogs are active and will require regular walks while others are not ready for this just yet.

Fostering is a great way to have the ‘doggy experience’ without the long-term commitment of owning one. Dogs are fantastic company, great stress relievers and a good way to get out and about!

By fostering a dog from Teckels you will be helping to change that animal’s life. If you feel you are able to foster or would like some more information please contact us as soon as possible by emailing or call us on 01452 740300. Thank you!

01 January 2018 Festive Period Fundraising

The run up to Christmas is always busy for everyone! The extra food shopping, buying Christmas presents and getting ready for the celebrations ahead.

For Teckels rehoming and boarding, the run up to christmas is our busiest time of year for our rehoming charity, getting out and about and meeting supporters but also raising essential pounds for our rehoming cats and dogs.

This year we could be seen at 4 supermarkets around Gloucester and raised a fantastic £3583! We could not have done this with out our amazing volunteers and some of their four legged canine companions.

December 2017 also saw our Annual Teckels Christmas Fair, once again we had a fabulous day and really enjoyed seeing some repeat visitors and new faces too - We raised and brilliant £3018!

The two events together have raised an amazing £6,601! Thank you to everyone who attended as a guest, volunteers who these days couldn't happen without and to everyone who has supported the Charity throughout 2017!
