Autumn and winter doggy day care at Teckels
Do you dread the winter months, having to walk your dog in the cold, wet and dark before and after work or other commitments? Why not let Teckels look after your dog instead and provide him or her with the stimulation and companionship they deserve via our day care service?
We offer complete flexibility regarding your dog's exercise needs. Choose whether you wish your dog to be walked on a lead off site or to take exercise and playtime in our paddocks, or both! As well as a cosy bed in one of our heated kennels complete with outside run, we play selected canine-approved music to aid relaxation. Your dog will return home tired and content so you can both have a relaxing evening.
We have no hidden extra costs and don't charge for food (unless a prescription diet which is to be supplied by owner), the size of your dog, walks, toys, administration of medication, treats or cuddles.
There is no commitment to regular bookings – just let us know when it suits you and your dog. There’s no need to rush back, simply pick a drop-off and pick-up option to suit you.

A word from Dennis, one of our regular doggy day care guests…
Hi all you ‘dogs home alone',
My name is Dennis and when my mum rescued me she promised me the best home a dog could dream of. She works full time and did not want to leave me ‘home alone’ so she started to look at the options and discovered that Teckels offers a doggy day care service. She popped down to inquire what it was all about, liked what she heard and the people she met, and booked me in for a week just to see how I got on. That was four months ago and I still love every day I am there!
I was a little anxious on my first couple of days but by day three I was running down the path every morning to meet and greet all my new friends including Alice, Dean, John, Chelsea, Holly and Clare. They walk me and play with me in the big paddock twice a day and give me my lunch. I do get a few titbits as well as my mum told them that’s okay! I have my favourite flying saucer to play fetch with every day in the paddock and I have been known to get so excited that I have sat on John’s head when playing chase through a tunnel!
On Mondays I arrive with my favourite toys for the week and a nice filled bone. Then we walk to my pen, which is always lovely, clean and tidy with nice bedding and water. Time flies and before I know it my mum is back to collect me. I leave my toys ready for the next day as they make my pen feel like home.
I get excited when mum picks me up and she always brings a few treats which I look forward to but I am equally excited when she drops me off the next morning. When we get home I like to relax on my sofa with my mum as my day has been full of exercise and socialising! If I do have a sleepover it’s not a problem as I think of Teckels as my second home and mum can relax knowing that I am safe and happy.
I love Teckels and would really like all of you ‘dogs home alone’ to come and join me there. Hope to see you soon! Dennis
