We adopted Darce from Teckels when he was 10 months old and he is now 5 years old.
Darce had a difficult time before Teckels but got his happy ever after and so did we! At first, he was frightened of loud noises and didn’t really know how to play ball or enjoy life. That ball is long gone, and he is well known locally for being chief ball thief.
His love of long walks makes him very vocal until he has been out climbing the hills and woods nearby. We share Darce with my eldest daughter Zoe who makes sure he is never alone for long – she also walks him for miles, and they are a great team.
You can always tell when my grandchildren arrive as he stands at the gate howling with delight, then waits for any dropped food, like a furry hoover.
A real charmer.
