10 THINGS YOU MAY NOT KNOW ABOUT TECKELS

  1. When it comes to cats and dogs, we believe that EVERY ANIMAL DESERVES LOVING CARE IRRESPECTIVE OF HEALTH, AGE OR TEMPERAMENT.   Whatever an animal’s history we provide rehabilitation and training with the aim of finding the best possible home.

  1. Our staff are specially trained in the handling and rehabilitation of difficult animals and we continuously invest in this training.

  1. We have a non-destruction policy and will never euthanize an animal unless it is considered in the best interests of the animal based on their physical or mental health.

  1. We ensure all sick animals receive veterinary treatment and handle all related costs.

  1. We NEVER abandon unwanted rescue animals – our lovely Staffy ‘Willow’ has been with us for over 6 years.

  1. WHEN YOU BOARD YOUR PET WITH US, YOU ARE ALSO HELPING OUR RESCUE ANIMALS, with all fees, after overheads supporting the rescue centre.

  1. The same exceptional level of loving care delivered to our rescue animals is also given to our boarding pets.

  1. EACH YEAR WE REHOME OVER 250 CATS AND 150 DOGS. Teckels have held the stray dog contract for Stroud District Council for more than 15 years, which means we take in all the strays in the area and help to find them homes.

  1. IT TAKES OVER £30,000 PER MONTH TO RUN THE CENTRE.  However only ½ of this is covered by boarding fees.

  1. WE CANNOT SURVIVE WITHOUT YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT, so please:
